Yoesden Bank and White Cross Green Wood - 12 June 2014

I was behind catching up with Adonis Blue and though there were a number seen, over 20, mostly males, all had gone past their best and even the best examples were rather worn. There were still quite a few Small Blues remaining, but they also were being to show signs of age. Otherwise Marbled Whites were seen in fair numbers with the odd remaining Common Blue.

A run up afterwards to Whitecross Green Wood, which after a bit of patient produced one Black Hairstreak coming down to nectar, with probably eight seen in total, a few Marbled Whites just emerging and a number of Large Skippers were present.
