Today was spent in the company of PB touring around a few West London parks checking the development stages of the breeding Mute Swans, reading rings, and checking Canada Geese numbers on various waters prior to the annual Goose round up. This was inter spread with a few birds being rung as we toured around, enticed in with bread and caught with a net or by hand. We started off at Battersea Park, then off to Wimbledon Park lake and Wimbledon Common via the tennis crowds, then running over to Richmond Park, followed by Ham Common and finally the River Thames at Isleworth.
