Only Chris and myself were out this evening. On arriving we found that the planes were taking off overhead - not easy working conditions when they go over every 90 seconds and from experience we know that the birds don't seem to like the planes either and catches are poor when the planes take off to the West from the Southern runway.
The Starlings came in but we caught none, there were no Sand Martins and hardly any Swallows but none stayed around. For all our efforts we caught just one juvenile Blackcap (which I guess is positive as it's the first we've seen) and a retrapped Reed Warbler from last year.
Totals -1 (1)
Reed Warbler - 0 (1)
Blackcap - 1
