Wraysbury GP - 11th July 2021

A return to monitor the site after a couple of weeks away meant a little ride maintenance due to so much rain during our time away. We still had 7 nets up by 7am and managed to process 67 birds. The migration is not yet really underway with most Whitethroats appearing to be those that bred close by,  numbers of Blackcap still quite low and the only two Garden Warblers being retrapped, and local stayers although one having also been seen in June has probably not bred this year.

Some Greenfinch and Linnets made a nice change for this site that most often turns up warblers. There were also singles of Lesser Whitethroat and Reed Warbler.
