With a few of the usual Maple Cross crew ringing abroad, we joined JF, KC and J to get the first CES session of 2013 in the bag. There was a steady trickle that slowed by 10am but somehow managed to keep going right to the end of the session with 3 birds being extracted as nets were taken down.

A look around the site was more reminiscent of a day in early April with many trees still showing bare branches.
Butterflies recorded on site included Peacock, Comma and Orange Tip.
