Xeros Potamos Pools & Anarita Park - 3rd May 2019

There was less water when we went this morning so plenty of mud. However it really was much windier than we would have liked. We put 6 nets up and hoped for a few waders.

We saw a Curlew Sandpiper but failed to catch that one. We were very surprised to finish on 4 Temminck Stints, when we'd thought there were just a couple flying around. We got a few Wood Sandpipers as usual and got a surprise Little Stint on taking down, also a Redshank.

Temminck's Stint - 4

After taking down the cloud continued to build and eventually there was some rain. We took a drive around Anarita where our observations were limited to a couple of Rollers, some Corn Buntings and several Lesser Kestrel, and a few butterflies.
