Agias Minas, birding around Androliku, Arodes and Cape Dreparum - 27th April 2019

After the drive from Emba, it seemed as though we'd arrived at the site quite late still 5am is early enough and we set about getting nets up. We put up a couple of doubles, two singles and a two panel net. We did well, better in fact by some margin than totals of late even though such a huge percentage of the catch was made up of Blackcaps. There had been a lot of Blackcaps roosting overnight and we captured many as they moved off to forage on the hillside.

Other captures were Goldfinch, Reed Warbler, Serin, Ortolan Bunting, Tree Pipit, Lesser Whitethroat and Willow Warbler.
