Paphos Headland, Agia Varvara, Xeros Lower Pools and Timi Forest - 2nd May 2019

Morning visit to the Headland provide to be very quite though the Siberian Stonechat was still present. The highlight though was a Plain Tiger, that unfortunately just flew through without stopping, failing to give a photographing opportunity. There were though a lot of Lulworth Skippers, a Mallow Skipper, couple of Brown Argus and Small Coppers, plus the usual crop of common Butterflies present.

Afterwards I checked the river and tanks at Agia Varvara mainly for Dragonflies, with again few interesting birds thouhg one of the tanks held 39 Glossy Ibis.

The Xeros Potomos Lower Pools did hold a few waders with single Redshank, Greenshank, Curlew Sandpiper, two Timminck's Stint and Great Snipe, nine Ruff and around 20 or more Wood Sandpipers present, along with a few Egrets.

Timi Forest floods were showing significant signs of drying out and had very few waders, with nohting exceptional than the normal
