Broadwater GP - 11th October 2016

An outing to Broadwater with MRB and Margaret. We processed 30 birds in total with the majority of birds taking AA rings, as is often the case at this site. Chiffchaff narrowly exceeded the number of Goldcrest to be the most numerous species and all other species appeared as singles in the new birds column.

There was a little red to go with all that gold in the form of our first Redwing of the season.

Redwing, aged 3, our first of the year

3F Goldcrest

There was even time to get one of our Swedish bird boxes up at the site. Thanks to MRB who supplied screwdriver and screws to add a little extra stability. The only person I know who 'just happens' to have this type of equipment in his car when not expecting to have to use it!
