On a nice calm day we journeyed to Chobham Common for a Dartford day. We haven't had too much luck with Lesser Redpoll this season so turned our attention to catching Dartford Warbler. We had a good idea of areas where we tend to get multiple sightings and decided to target a couple of separate areas where catching might be possible.
As always on such attemts our return was numerically low, but we caught two birds, one of which was a retrapped bird that we'd first captured in 2017. There was also a second Dartford hatched this year and a Goldcrest, our only bycatch.
