We had a wander around Staines Moor to see if any migrant passerines were present, without too much success, but we did bump into the female/immature Merlin that had been previously seen at Staines Reservoir, and had an immature Marsh Harrier fly over towards the west, plus the usual Little Egret. Two fairly nice Raptors for this part of London.
Afterwards I made a trek up to the reservoir which produced a good mix of waders ranging through 97 Ringed Plover, 53 Dunlin, three Redshank, one Greenshank, seven Ruff, one Knot, one Little Stint, six Black-tailed Godwit and a single Curlew Sandpiper, plus a Black-necked Grebe.
