We returned to the moor with DKH to monitor the birds in the beaver enclosure and continue to capture low numbers. We know that the feeding sites situated around the reserve draw birds away from the 20 hectare compound, and in addition the summer migrants remain very low. Chiffchaff is the only species caught in any numbers with a single Blackcap and Reed Warbler the only other summer visitors.
Extracting Jay after Goldcrest from the same net provided DKH extraction experience from both ends of the scale in close proximity.
