This visit was primarily for Dragonflies and the summer Butterflies.
Dragonflies were relatively easy, find water, of which after this years winter rains, there is a a lot about, but also some heavy flooding changing habitat, you'll find Dragonflies, but summer Butterflies in Cyprus away from those of the lowland coastal areas, are difficult, found in limited suitable habitat and never in large numbers even when in the right areas. This makes them far more difficult and resulted in us not seeing Small Bath White, Lattice Brown, Cardinal, Two-tailed Pasha or Nettle-tree Butterfly.
