Chobham Common - 8 August 2013

A visit was confined to checking the hill/mound area on the SE corner of the north side for Grayling, rather than doing a tour around the area for birds, though one or two other potential ringing areas for Nightjar were identified for next season.  A few Grayling were found in the expected area and only gave their customary wings up photographic views. One day there might just be an open winged opportunity. A very tatty worn Silver-studded Blue was seen, along with a 2nd generation Holly Blue. A few Small Heaths were still present along with Small Skippers.
