A very chilly morning with the flooded areas remaining frozen throughout our session. The feeders were obviously extremely attractive to the birdlife in these conditions and for our five hours of fieldwork there were only 10 birds from the 5 nets in the beavers' enclosure.
Best part of our day was an impromptu ringing demonstration for some visiting students.
