It's been quite a while since we worked Stanwell. Today was simply a maintenance visit to clear the reedbed ride. We will shortly be off to Long Point so this is our attempt to ensure that the site is workable on our return (although we are certain that there will be more to be done when we get back).
As well as doing the work we had three nets up, just in case any birds happened to pass through the ride. We didn't expect much, but got five birds. We were particularly pleased with Y224150, a Reed Warbler, that was ringed as an adult at Bedfont, on 6/5/2012, which has not been re-trapped since then until now.
Totals: 3 (2)
Dunnock - 0 (1)
Reed Warbler - 0 (1)
Chiffchaff - 1
Long-tailed Tit - 2
